Spring continues…

 

Photographed in our garden the other day, a Mexican Sunflower appearing for the first time this spring and Purple Coneflowers continuing to grow in number.

Watering the garden

 

There’s something simple and comforting about the water sprinkler in the garden. These photos were taken at the end of the day, with the sunlight cutting through the yard sideways.

What about this image brings a sense of comfort? Perhaps it conjures up a memory from childhood – when summer break meant no schedules and no responsibilities.
