This time last year, Jay and I were traveling around Upstate New York and the Adirondacks. There were several opportunities to take photos of barns as we drove along rural roads and mountain turns.
There’s something simple and comforting about the water sprinkler in the garden. These photos were taken at the end of the day, with the sunlight cutting through the yard sideways.
What about this image brings a sense of comfort? Perhaps it conjures up a memory from childhood – when summer break meant no schedules and no responsibilities.
A recent work related trip to Chicago provided a few hours of downtime to wander Navy Pier and downtown.
